I am not a fan of the shisha at Shakespeare & Co branches in Dubai but I still go for the great interior and atmosphere and their very good food, and the hope, the slim hope, that their shisha has improved since the last time I was there ….!!!

Well, their new branch in the Souk al Bahar, in the Downtown Burj Dubai area, failed drastically and confirmed the fact that Shakespeare & Co in Dubai offer some of the most mediocre shisha’s in town. While the location, with the view of the mighty Burj Dubai, and the food impressed, their shisha was by far one of the worst I had in Dubai so far. The flavour disappears after the first couple of buffs, it helps if they offer al fakher tobacco, and their shisha m3aleim is very helpful; that is if you can find him and when he answers your numerous requests for more coal.

Final verdict: One of the most mediocre shishas and Shisha service in town. Below is my ranking of this Venue:

I will add a review of a shisha café, at least, every week and I will venture out to cover most of Dubai’s shisha cafes in the year 2009. Any help, referral, or contributing review will be highly appreciated. In a couple of months, I will upgrade the blog to a dedicated website, in Arabic and English.
